About

The University of Dayton Men's Rowing Rent a Rower program is designed to provide financial assistance to members of the team in exchange for helping members of the surrounding communities with yard work, home improvement projects, and other odd jobs.  Men's rowing at the University of Dayton is a club sport, which leaves many members of the team with hefty dues to pay each semester.  The club uses the money from dues to compete in competitions and purchase and maintain equiptment, including rowing shells, oars, and the coach's launch and engine. By participating in the Rent a Rower program you are helping rowers pay their dues and adding to the success of the club.

Rowers can be rented for $60 per session and each session lasts up to four hours. For safety and convenience issues it is preferred that you rent at least two rowers.  All rowers come prepared to work hard, however because the team is made up of UD students who come from all over the country any tools required to complete a task must be provided.

If you have a special request or need that deviates from this standard rate/time period please contact rentarower@udcrew.com. Additionally, by providing a description of the work to be completed we try to provide you with the most qualified rowers.  Should you need special tools or equipment, it is always worth asking, as the few rowers who live in the area may have access to the needed equipment, for example a pick-up truck or lawnmower.

All contributions to the Rent a Rower program are tax deductible.
